Hello and Happy August!
Or better known to me as the official Halloween decoration kick off month! Spooky season is upon us, and I am READY for another spooktacular season.

I kicked it off early this year and added 3 new decorations today from Home Goods.
 
 

Around The Property


Speaking of new and exciting. The place we bought has continued to surprise us. I learned I'm NOT allergic to poison ☠️ oak, however Luke IS! Look at this beautiful toxic vine that is on a tree we have. Don't worry we are now removing it safely.  Anyone else not allergic? It really is an interesting if hostile plant. While doing research on the plant I found a fact I delighted in learning: that it has been used in dyes and inks. The sap was used to create black dyes for basketry and tattoo ink!



Another adventure we are having at The Hallows is blackberry removal. I can honestly say I prefer my blackberries fermented over fresh after this. If you want to come out and pick at my place just reach out as there is plenty to share. I had the pleasure of meeting Chris Clark when he came out to check out a cool crane truck, we "inherited" with the home. This guy knows his stuff and was super easy to talk with. I'm excited to share him as a resource and work together with his team of experts in the next few months.
