Happy New Year! I am wishing you a great year and a spirited one.
If you’re reading this newsletter, you probably know who I am and what I do—but can I say the same about you? Do I know what you do?

 

People often ask me how I feel when a home on my street is listed with a real estate company that isn't mine. Well after I cry a little…just kidding, I cry a lot! Seriously though I always answer the same way. If they have listed with another agent it's because I didn't connect with them at a level that they knew I could help them.


How do we fix this?

 

By supporting local!

 

Supporting and connecting with local businesses is something I’m passionate about because of the difference it makes in our communities. That’s why I’m starting a new initiative this year:

 

Each month, I’ll meet with a local business to exchange knowledge and share what we can do to help one another. This includes home-based businesses too! I’ll bring lunch, coffee, or after-hours drinks to you, and we’ll chat about what services we offer and how we can refer each other.

 

For example, in December, I met with Camie Goff at Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC. I learned helpful tips about insurance for my clients’ home-buying and selling needs, and we established a connection where we can now refer clients to each other. It’s all about taking care of each other so we can grow together!

This month, I’m shining a spotlight on Linn County Animal Control Rescue and the amazing work they do for animals in need. They provide shelter, care, and second chances to pets who deserve loving homes.

 

 

🐾 Pet of the Month: Meet Stretch!

Location: Linn County Animal Control Rescue

Breed: Black Labrador Retriever mix

Age: ~4 years old

At the Shelter Since: April 2023

 

Stretch is a smart, energetic pup who’s ready for adventure! He loves to run, play, and learn new tricks—especially when treats are involved. With his big heart and playful spirit, he’d make the perfect buddy for an active family or someone with a big backyard.

 

🐶 Stretch would love to meet you! If you have other pets, he’ll need an introduction to see if you’re the perfect match.
