January DEFINITELY went faster than I expected! I remember saying Happy New Year and now I am about to say Happy Valentine’s Day. Anyone else feeling this? Maybe it is all the coffee and lotus energy I have been drinking at my coffee shop. Who needs to blink anyway?

I am excited to share that I will be bringing back my monthly "How to buy a home class" starting March 6. The goal of this class is to learn about the basics of the home buying process. The class is about an hour long unless we get to talking too much and that never happens. You are welcome and even encouraged to bring friends and family if you have already bought a home. I hope to see some of you come with your friends so I can take care of them and catch up with you too. Locations will change up each month to be all over the Willamette Valley. I want to take a moment (before 2024 is over lol) and talk about home ownership! Many of you have become a homeowner in the past few years and that deserves a kudos. Congratulations again for making a great decision to buy a home and to have done it with me as your Realtor.  But what do you do AFTER you become a homeowner? Here are a few friendly reminders to help you take care of your home. Stay tuned for monthly updates as well in future newsletters.

Happy New Year!!! Can you believe we have already made a full circle again? 2023 was a great year for me and mine and I hope everyone reading this was treated well by 2023 as well. Here's a look back at the year we had together in a special slideshow!

 

 

I don't typically make New Year Resolutions but last year I was resolved to make more "self-care time." I can proudly say I did just that. I made time to enjoy reading several books, got a pedicure every month, and even had a girl's trip vacation to Hawaii. I would love to hear from you and what self-care tips you practiced. Or even a good book suggestion. I highly recommend “The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue” by V.E. Schwab!

This year I am going to add another promise to myself and that is to BREATHE and "find the POSITIVE in a negative moment.”  I have even started to take a yoga class on Sundays with my beautiful daughter, Bailey. Her support has been huge in helping me pause and take a breath and just let all the thoughts in my head go. I was worried they might not come back but they did lol. Anyone who knows me even a little knows I GO GO GO all the time and many of you are similar. I say let's support each other and BREATHE! I've been going to Willamette Valley Yoga and I totally recommend it!

Speaking of GO GO Going I couldn't do it without unbelievable amounts of caffeine lol. With that in mind I am absolutely delighted to tell everyone that I am opening a coffee shop called “Darkbloom.” Our 1st official day open is January 1st! We will be open Monday-Saturday from 6am-6pm. Our theme is a unique blend of vintage/goth/metal. Beverages range from a traditional latte to a mouth-watering toasted sesame mocha. This will be our soft opening and within a month we will have a grand opening and some festivities to enjoy. Josh & Amy Morrow are my business partners and I can't wait to introduce them to all of you. See some sneak peek pictures of the shop below!

Blessed be your Winter Solstice, Happy Festivus, Merry Christmas, and happy any other day that you celebrate with your loved ones in December! It is not the day but the intent you have for the day that I wish happiness for. If you're looking for 31 additional reasons to celebrate in December you can see a fun little list below. I can definitely get behind national brownie day on the 8th!

Our family is a small family and each year our focus has become more about the time we have for each other and not as much about a gift that we felt obligated to buy. Don't get me wrong this lady likes getting gifts lol. I have just shifted my expectations, and time with my family is a pretty great gift in my opinion. 

 

Each year I offer help if it is needed. If you or someone you know needs a little help this time of year to make life a little easier, to bring a smile to a child, or to gift a new toy or bed for a pet, please reach out and I will make it happen. 

As the year comes to an end and we are about to start 2024 I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and a loud Cheers to your success. On that note I am going to wrap up this newsletter along with 2023.

Happy Turkey Day!!! I have a very small blood family, but I have a big friend family. We get together and celebrate with “Friendsgiving.”  Everyone is always invited so here is your official invite. 

 

Garlic is big in most of what I cook at get-togethers and I want to share one of my favorite things to make. This garlic confit ensures I always have roasted garlic available all through the November and December get-togethers. All joking aside I think I eat enough garlic each Friendsgiving to keep the vampires away until next Halloween. Below is a link to my current favorite garlic confit recipe on Pinterest.

Speaking of Halloween check out these great pictures of the three witches of Cambern Homes from our Downtown Trick or Treat event! I love being part of a community and this is such a fun time. Can you believe thousands of kiddos and their families attend this 4-hour event?! They wrap up all the festivities with a fun costume contest. Next year we will be hosting at my office building and the new coffee shop next door will be joining the fun. It is going to be spooktacular!

October was the month of events! I hope you didn't miss our first photo event! Don't worry though if you did. We have already planned next year. We were so impressed with JMJ Photography’s amazing professional set up!  They rolled up to my office and basically moved in by bringing in a ton of great props including a bench and even trees! We had several people bring their four-legged family members as well. Check out a few of my favorites. The pup in a box is SOOOO cute! Of course I wouldn't be me if I didn't show off my beautiful daughter Bailey and my sassy grandpuppy Binx.

Happy Halloween! Boo to all!

My favorite month of the year is October and my favorite day of the year is October 31st for so many great reasons. There is the decorating and abundance of skeletons to enjoy; as well as the dressed-up witches, warlocks and tons of costumes all in their spooky revelry. Of course, you can't go wrong with some trick-or-treating, and I am delighted to embrace that tradition by giving out full-size candy bars at my house! I will be dressed as a Raven Witch so keep an eye out for me at the Lebanon Downtown Trick or Treat event giving out candy there as well.

I would be a monster of a wife if I didn't remember Halloween is also my ANNIVERSARY. In fact, this year my husband and I are celebrating our 4th anniversary. Each year we are a little unorthodox in gift giving and instead of the typical roses and sweet stuff we instead get each other Halloween decorations. If that isn't true love, I don't know what is.

What kind of Grandma would I be if I don't brag about my Grand-Puppy Binx and her 4th Birthday that just happens to be in October. I know many of you have kids or pets or BOTH and can't imagine your life without them. Binx fills that space in my heart. Her playful antics and needy ways keep my daughter on her toes. A little payback, kid! Happy Birthday Binx! 

Well, I would love to keep talking about all things October, but these yards don't decorate themselves!

September News from Cambern Homes

The weather made me do it!! The month of August was so hot that I MUST take an Alaskan vacation. Just kidding! I already had it on my calendar. From August 23rd-Sept. 5th I will be on my first ever cruise! Make sure to check out next month's newsletter with Alaska pictures.

As soon as I am back from vacation, I will be starting on decorating my front yard and my office for Halloween. I absolutely love when people tag me, text me, or message me with anything to do with Halloween as it gives me great ideas. So, get to sending me stuff people because I will be decorating three yards again this year.
 
Speaking of the spooky season or things that are scary, it's almost time for kids to go back to school. Eeek! Just kidding! Kids are great...especially when they are grown and out of the house! Seriously though, if you're a parent that is struggling to get school supplies or a few new outfits for your kiddos I am here to help. Growing up my parents had some financial struggles when I was in middle school, and it resulted in me in polyester pants and striped shirts (*shudder*). So, if you need a little help just reach out to me. Also, if you suffer this trauma as well, I am happy to meet up for lunch and compare 4th grade class photos.

August News from Cambern Homes

It's time people! CODE ORANGE! Halloween is only 91 days away and the decorating has already started with the newest 12 ft scarecrow addition of "Crowly.” 

One of my all-time favorite movies is BEETLEJUICE. I plan on decorating my Lebanon office in honor of that for the month of October. BEETLEJUICE, BEETLEJUICE,  BEETLEJUICE!

 

Enough about what is happening in October.  Let's talk about what HAPPENED in July. I had TWO birthdays, is what happened! My BBQ Birthday Bash was a success! I turned 29 again (wink wink) and I celebrated my 7th year anniversary as a realtor. In my usual style I had a party and invited everyone. I have always wanted to host a Kona Ice event and they did not disappoint. If you missed this year, be sure and plan on making it to next year's!

July News from Cambern Homes

Happy Birthday TO ME!!! I am a woman who loves a good reason to celebrate, and July is chock full of them. We have the 4th of July, July 9th is my Birthday, AND July is when I got my real estate license! Happy Birthday to Cambern Homes!
July also happens to be National Hot Dog Month. So, on July 23rd from 12-3 I’m hosting a BBQ Birthday Bash at my place, 1250 SW Maple St. in Albany! I’ll have BBQ hot dogs with a smorgasbord of toppings, and vegan options, should that be your jam. 

And, what kind of Summer Birthday Bash would it be without Kona Ice! As a kid, who didn't love hearing the jingle of the local ice cream truck? Well, that is what Kona Ice is except it’s shaved ice and YOU can CHOOSE your flavors! I have wanted to have a Kona truck at one of my events for years and this is the year! Happy Birthday to me lol! Each Kona Ice also comes with a fun collectible color changing Cambern Homes cup, so you need to come to this event and have some fun with me.

Everyone is welcome to come eat and have some Kona. Friends, family, neighbors, bring them all!  Please let me know you're coming so I have enough! I can't make any promises, but I am still brainstorming on adding some entertainment to this event🤪

Boxers really have the BEST facial expressions of all dogs and Dexter does not disappoint! The eyebrows and cone of shame really bring this photo together.
